The Ideal WordCamp KC Sponsor

WordCamp Kansas City draws developers and users of WordPress as well as business managers and decision-makers from across the mid-west to discuss new directions, exciting implementations, creation and distribution of engaging content, and business practices using the WordPress platform.

We anticipate a fantastic groups of attendees for WordCamp Kansas City with as many as 250 attendees, across the Friday and Saturday event. We have an experienced organizing team, with many of our organizers on the team for 5+ WordCamps in Kansas City, and have teamed with Kauffman Foundation Conference Center to provide a fantastic venue and conference-going experience. In addition to the well established core audience for WordPress in the Kansas City and surrounding area, we have a strong marketing program and specific program content to reach out to newcomers to WordPress community.

WordCamp KC has been hosted at the beautiful Kauffman Foundation Conference Center since 2014. This is a great venue, and it is actually free for us to use, however, we still have a lot of costs to cover.

We are always upfront with WordCamp KC sponsors, our venue is FANTASTIC, but they do have some strict guidelines for sponsors. Sponsors are not allowed to have an individual table or booth, but sponsors can contribute swag and informational material to a common swag table. As well, sponsors are more than welcome to sign up to help out in our Community Support Lounge during WordCamp and talk about their business products and services to all attendees there. Lastly, Kauffman Foundation does not allow anyone to sell anything on-site.

These restrictions are the main reason WordCamp KC sponsorship levels are lower than many other WordCamps of our size.

In Kansas City, we solely rely on local businesses and “WordPress shops” who realize the role of the WordPress open source project in helping their businesses grow and are eager to give back to the WordPress community and/or the WordPress KC community through a monetary sponsorship of WordCamp KC.

We encourage you to consider WordCamp KC sponsorship, and please let us know if you have any questions, or suggestions for the conference, or if you’re interested in becoming a WordCamp KC speaker.
